The 34-year old 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner has been linked with a move to the emirates in recent days with the club supposedly looking at potential free transfer signings to helps solve their defensive problems.
However, while yobo insists he knows nothing of any recent interest from Arsenal, he has claimed that Arsense Wenger is an admirer of his talents and he came close to signing him some years ago as a replacemt for Sol Campbell before Everton blocked the move.
He told reporters, "He wanted me to partner Kolo Toure in defence, I was younger then. If negotiations are taking place, I am not aware, maybe the club is speaking with my agent."
The next few weeks are going to be difficult without giving Koscielny and Mertesacker rests, so it looks like Calcium Chambers and potentially Hayden are going to have to step up unless Arsene can find a decent free agent to bring in.
